Gen’s goal is to become a speech-language pathologist to help children with speech disabilities… When Niam graduates, he hopes to work in medical technology… Brandon looks forward to helping students with any type of writing, but his specialties include STEM papers, personal statements, resumés, and cover letters…. Ashley’s favorite pieces to work on are personal narratives and statements!… Evelyn’s favorite part of being a writing consultant is when a student comes in thinking they aren’t a good writer but with assistance gains confidence and finds their voice by the end of a session… Nayaab’s favorite genre to help students with is research papers because they are straightforward and used often in her field of study… In sessions, Yaqi likes to help students find a clear, concise way to express their unique voice in their writing while staying professional and confident… Kiana loves reading biographies, theory, anthropology and philosophy and will be especially excited to help you with research papers, personal narratives and resumés… As a consultant, Lily enjoys working one-on-one with students and getting to conversate as well as brainstorm about their writing. Being a student and writer herself, her favorite forms of personal writing include creative non-fiction and poetry… Noemy loves to bake, and her favorite things to bake are banana bread and cookies! After her journey here at UC Merced, she hopes to attend graduate school and earn her Masters of Fine Arts… Yadira likes to work with STEM, research, and psychology papers. When relaxing at home, she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with beloved friends and family… Anna enjoys reading over argumentative and research papers at the UWC. Her favorite hobbies include arts & crafts, writing sonnets, and reading angsty books… Jamie aims to close the gap for educationally underrepresented students. Her goals are to promote what the University Writing Center teaches to better support the unique demands of writing for graduate students… Kalylin was inspired to become a consultant to instill confidence among the students that come to the writing center…
